A longtime Cubbie fan, grandpa William Flood was honored to throw out the Ceremonial First Pitch at last night’s Chicago Cubs game.
It was his 76th birthday and the entire Flood family came out to cheer him on. The Cubs were so inspired, they came out swinging in the first inning. Our beloved hometown team ended up scoring 5 runs, eventually beating the Reds 9-2.
Four generations of the Flood Brothers family on deck for the celebration, which was a great honor for William.

Warming up that 76-year-old arm (which can still throw a mean pitch!)
And... the pitch!
The pitch was just a bit low and outside. Great job Grandpa Flood!
Congratulations for a job well done.
