Beginning January 1st, 2020, Flood Brothers is proud to begin its new partnership with the Village of South Chicago Heights! Residential curbside collection will occur on Tuesdays, and will be delayed one day during the holiday weeks listed at the bottom of this page. You may also follow #FloodBothersDisposal on social media for up to the minute holiday service schedules and weather related delays.
Flood Brothers. will provide each single-family household with a 95-gallon refuse cart and a 95 Gallon Recycling Cart. Additional cart sizes are available for those residents that would be interested; with a rental price applied. All equipment will be owned and maintained by Flood Brothers, and we will collect recyclables curbside using the single stream process. Additional refuse may be placed in a bag or container that does not exceed 32 gallons or weights of 50lbs, respectively.
Single family residents will be provided with trash, recycling and yard waste collection. Refure collection will include one bulk item pick up per week, with any item weighing more than 50lbs requiring advanced notcie by calling our office to give 24 notice. All pickups will occur on Tuesdays of each week.
Flood Brothers will provide each resident with a 95 gallon cart for yard waste, with collection taking place between April 1st and November 30th. Yard Waste is to be placed in the issued Flood container, waterproof plastic or metal containers with a tight cover, or a biodegradable Kraft bag of a size no larger than 35 gallons and not to exceed 50lbs. Christmas Trees will be picked up during the first 2 weeks of January.
White Goods and Electronic Waste should be called in to our office to give 24 hour notice ahead of time. Flood Brothers will also offer one time free pickup per yearon E-Waste at a time that is to be determined by the company and the village.
Please note the state of Illinois electronic waste landfill ban is a state law. Electronic waste cannot be collected with household refuse/waste.
If a holiday falls on a weekday or Sunday whichs calls for observation the following Monday, and your regularly scheduled pickup is on or after the holiday, your pickup will be delayed by one day.
